Stephen J. Demanovich is an associate in Wadsworth Huott's Miami office where he handles auto negligence, trucking negligence, premise liability, first party property and insurance coverage cases. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York, the District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court.

Before joining Wadsworth Huott, Mr. Demanovich worked as a litigation associate for a large civil litigation firm where he handled medical malpractice and complex medical provider fraud cases. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office where he tried 28 cases to verdict for crimes including armed kidnapping, attempted murder, child molestation and DUI. During his final year at the state attorney's office, he was selected to serve in the Sexual Battery and Child Abuse Unit where he devoted his time exclusively to the prosecution of capital and life felony cases involving child victims younger than 12 years old. In addition, he was a member of the Human Trafficking Task Force, where he worked with local and federal law enforcement agents to target and prosecute human traffickers.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Mr. Demanovich graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law. He earned a Book Award in Contemporary American Legal Thought for achieving the highest grade in the class. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross. He also attended Harvard University for a semester taking classes in cellular biology and neurobiology.

Mr. Demanovich is a member of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, and is a board member of the Florida League of Prosecutors. He also serves as a Vice-Chairman for the Florida Bar Grievance Committee and as an Adjunct Professor in Criminal Justice at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.
